Chicken salad with some added flavor.
Ingredients
Directions
- Open can of chicken, drain as much as possible.
- Chop chicken up with fork or spoon, then take a paper towel and press it on to the chicken to get as much of the liquid out as possible.
- Mix in the mayonaisse (use very little, just enough to hold the chicken together). Stir well.
- Mix in as much or as little salsa as you would like.
- Top with cheese, like cheddar or American.
- Try and be creative, add other salad ingredients.

Use fresh chicken instead and add some good green and red vegetables.

Nothing about this recipe is phase 1. You can not have mayo or cheese at all and the canned chicken is going to have a lot of salt as a preservative as well as the salsa.

This is going to be great! Works well with Atkins. Fresh chicken sounds good but the canned works too. I'm not going to go fat free or light though and you can also buy fresh salsa from your local grocery store and it is natural ... so this sounds like a winner!

Make sure you read packages for Atkins... sometimes low fat and fat free products have more carbs.
