I'm 51 years old, and tired of being overweight. I've been putting on about 5 pounds a year for a long time now, and need to get things under control for health reasons as well as wanting to look and feel better. I've been on Atkins, Weight Watchers, and South Beach before. I'm a yo-yo victim. I'm determined to make something work, so I'm going to go with South Beach. When I was on it before, I felt like it was pretty flexible. I struggle with exercise, as I have arthritis in both knees. I've always walked and or jogged while dieting, but that's out of the question. The weather here in Maine is another deterrent to outside activities. I plan to do some excercise tapes and use my Ab Lounger every day. I'm nervous but excited too! I look forward to having lots of support and help on 'fatsecret'!

Doctor Scales
My doc's scales are always 8-10 pounds over mine. The reason doesn't really matter! Try to only compare your weights at home, and don't worry about the dr's office. Losing weight is losing weight no matter the starting or ending point!
