This Moose is happy dancing this morning!!! Can you hear the whoops and hollers from here??? Yes ... I broke under 200 this morning. Barely ... 199.8 but any number than begins with a "1" instead of a "2" is welcome on my scale!!!

Day 16
Weight 199.8 (down 1.2 lbs from yesterday!!)

Today's plan is taking Mom to town to do some Christmas Stocking shopping. I have just one appointment today which I am trying to reschedule so I can take the whole day off. I get lousy cell coverage at my home and I have a voicemail to listen to, which I am sure is from my client, but I can't get through to voicemail!! ARGHH!!! I'll keep trying. It's okay if I do need to go in, it will only be a half day if I do ... but it would be nice not to have to loop from here to town twice today.

Dens had suggested a pure protein day today to kick me down to under 200 ... and I had planned on it but I'm here!!! LOL!!! I still think I might do it, keep the carbs at a real low for today. Might be a good idea since we'll be out and about and around all sorts of treats in the stores.

I bought the ingredients for Date Nut Loaf yesterday at the market. I always give little loaves to my gluten friendly colleagues at work every year. And ... my husband's office loves it too. And ... Mom has her annual Miniature Club Christmas party next week and I'd like to send a loaf with her. I'll bake it tomorrow though ... so as long as I count the calories I can have some since it will be my indulgence/feast day. I am NOT doing what I did last week though ... I AM counting every calorie. I did in on Thanksgiving. Not sure why I let myself go crazy last Saturday, but I did. The good news is though that I jumped right back in the swing of things for the remainder of the week. Which of course is the plan, this new WOE. I'm excited ... this seems to be working for me.

Yesterday was a very productive work day. Two good home visits, almost completely caught up on paperwork (I still have a couple of evals to write up), grocery shopping done ... it was a good day.

It is chilly here ... not quite as cold as yesterday morn ... warmed up to 20!!! I hear rumors of snow in the forecast. I would actually welcome some to create those nice smooth roads again!!! And ... to cover up all the dirty snow!!

Hubby came home yesterday from work ... not feeling well. He started a new antidepressant and thinks it didn't agree with him. Though, he might have a bug ... we'll be able to tell better by how he feels when he wakes up today. I sort of hope it is a bug, and not the medication but we'll see. Though I also hope he feels better. Hate it when he is under the weather.

And of course ... grateful.

... for Friday and Payday and Weighing under 200!!!

... for my girlfriend getting and liking the little gift I sent for her birthday.

... for it being December AND being back on track with my body.

... for my wonderful fatsecret buddies who cheer me on and console me when I am feeling blue.

... for thinking about vacationing in Ecuador!!! We have dreams of retiring there but have never been ... if I can find cheap airfare we just might go!!!

And so that is me today. Enthused? Oh, just a little!! LOL!!! I am going to celebrate by finishing up the movie I've been watching while on my Elliptical and breaking out my Pilates DVD!!! I'm not worrying too much about the other numbers on my new scale (yet). First is getting the weight down and then getting those other numbers in the zone too.

Of course, I am continuing to practice kindness towards myself. That is a key ingredient for me. I get lots of practice!!! And you know what they say ... practice makes perfect. Well, perhaps perfection will never come but then I'll never be bored. I have been feeling much better lately. Even though many of my "skinny" clothes still do not fit I am not struggling so much to get dressed. I have been feeling attractive, more at peace with my body, and that is key. Self flagellation is not a good thing for me. It wastes my days. It is self destructive. Life is good and I am so much happier when I focus on what I have rather than what I do not have.

Again, I do hope the sun shines in your hearts today. That each of you can look honestly inside and appreciate the gifts you have, regardless of your BMI, your clothing size, the number on the scale. It warms my heart to read all your grateful lists ... I have such wonderful company on this journey, with all of you along. Have a great day buddies!!

Bren ... I wondered what that sound was ... now I know!! LOL!!! I am beyond delighted!! And so motivated to keep on going with the hopes of having a few more pounds gone BEFORE January 1st!!! Love getting through the holiday season by losing weight instead of gaining it. Thanks so much for your encouragement and support!!

Wow - I can hear your cheering all the way to Denmark! LOL! Do I need to say "told you so" one more time? ;) I'm glad you're out of the 2's - it's a great feeling, right? Now, enjoy your Indulgence Day, and watch as more happens next week. I'm still hoping for a new low tomorrow night, but REALLY curious if it'll happen as my usual activities for Friday nights are canceled. It'll be a nice, quiet evening at home instead. I wonder how this will affect things. Only one way to find out. If I don't lose the weight i hope to, then at least I'll learn from it, right?

FANTASTIC!! Yay! So excited for you and your excitement :) I like Dens' suggestion for a kick off too, maybe after your indulge day (Saturday?). I do that. I think we do so much better when we have those one 'control' high days. Do you have a land line? Maybe you can check your vm from home? also.. pretty please, may I have your date bread recipe? If I lived closer I'd be on your list of friends that LOVED your bread :) I just know it!

I hear ya sista! Second time for me...but this time doesn't seem like such a sacrifice...seems more natural with added exercise...hopefully it sticks for us both! Anyway...we are more healthy and that is the real goal right?

Cynthia ... yes I'll PM you the recipe tomorrow ... it is a family secret you know ... so this means you are officially part of my family and you are sworn to secrecy!!! LOL!!! It is VERY SIMPLE and quite tasty!! I did do a high protein, very low carb day today and had so much fun with my mom.
