- I believe in generally being a nice guy, unless someone ticks me off.
- I try to practice what I preach.
- I help ill people in my daytime job.
- I love making a difference.
- I know a lot about losing weight. I know less about MAINTAINING weight. I'm currently learning this.
- I love writing lengthy journals here on FatSecret.
- I will occasionally say or write things that other people may not like or even find offensive. Rest assured, no offence towards you direcly is ever meant.
- I'm a nice guy, but I have strong opinions. Please don't confuse the two.
- I am a huge fan of common sense.
- I love helping others lose weight.

Before and After, anyone?
I wanted to share this, as a new "in-between" picture.



I have started my own weight loss coaching company! How about that?!

Seeing this picture of me - taken yesterday - I was amazed with the amount of muscle that is suddenly appearing. Sure, a chunk of body fat is also present - more than I had half a year ago, but one can't build muscle without gaining fat. It's now time to shred! Smile

Life is good!
(And yes - I'm the one in the picture on the banner too!)

Bill, that's how I felt when I started reading his stuff. WOW! The beauty is that he explains things very clearly, and backs it up with science on a level that a moron like me can understand.

Personally, I think the treadmill is fine as long as it doesn't "get in the way" of strength training. It's fine to burn some extra calories, as long as you eat them back in to not lose energy.
Maybe this is actually where your lack of morning energy lies? Just a thought.
Obviously, if you suddenly skip your treadmill walks/runs, then you also will need to adjust your calorie intake, but you know that. Smile
I love the way Mike talks about working out "smart" instead of "hard". I completely agree with him on that. Doing circuit ("circle"Wink training has completely opened my eyes to that.
I don't "waste time" when I work out, and this gives me enormous results in just half an hour three times weekly. Sweet! Smile

Eat to Live
Very interesting - and congratulations on the massive weight loss!
Do you at all focus on protein/fat intake in regards to muscle building? If so, what does the Eat To Live philosophy say about it? Where do you get your proteins, if you are mostly living off of vegetables?
