My name is Mike and I've lived most of my 42 years in the state of Florida. I'm married to an awesome woman who I meet and married in college almost 25 years ago. I'm also the proud father of three awesome children, which 2 of them have already moved out and are married starting their own families.

I'm 6'1" and consider myself quite athletic playing a wide variety of sports over my lifetime including lettering in college baseball. Over time I've let my lifestyle of everyday stress, loving food and drinking gradually take over my life which took me from my college playing weight of 190 to a high of 251 in late Jan 2010. After much loved nudging from my wife and mother, I finally decided to make a change in my life. Here I am....

Anyone eat before a workout?
Yes, atleast 1 cup of oatmeal in the morning about 30 minutes before working out. I used to not eat before my morning workouts and I could tell during certain routines that I was weaker or unable to sustain the full routine from the previous week. Eating something high in carbs before your workout will do wonders for you, imo. The hardest part for me was getting used to eating something at 5:30am. Good Luck!

Walmart Treadmill?
Bought one from Sam's Club over a year ago for about $499 (ProForm 400 CT) and it's still going strong.

Answering the big question: "how did you lose weight"
In Short I cleaned up my eating (stopped eating pre-processed foods), stopped drinking calories (in the beginning mostly) and implemented a daily exercise program. The key was being able to stick with it until it became a life change for me.
