2ManyCurves's Journal, 11 September 2013

Rough day. I didn't get home until 730 pm. So, I didn't get to eat until 8pm. Dinner tasted great, but I feel so guilty eating both macaroni and cheese with lima beans and red meat. It was all I could muster to go walk/jog tonight, ok mostly walk. I tried jogging for a quarter mile and my head began to pound in sync with my massive boob moveage. I don't think "moveage" is really a word, but I think you get the jist. I fit in 2 miles. That's it. Though I must admit that my heart rate was elevated the entire time.

First off, it was 10pm at night and I'm walking alone because everyone in my household is completely asleep already. Can you believe it? The one time I want the teenagers to back talk me about their bedtime so that I can at least have a quick walking buddy and they are already sawing logs. I was already a bit jumpy about walking this late at night. I grabbed a small flashlight and envisioned myself using it as a weapon if needed. However, I kept the light from the flashlight off most of the walk because I didn't want to be one of those people who burn through a battery and when I need it most am without light. I'm not sure who I expected would be out in the middle of nowhere stalking me tonight, but my imagination was working overtime.

The moon was a strange 3/8ths full, dusty orange when I first set off. Shortly after realizing that I didn't quite have the energy to maintain my massive mammories on this jaunt, I ended up walking down the really dark, forested part of the road. I tried focusing on crickets and somewhat pleasant sounds of the country night. But, years of feeding my brain with horror flicks as a teenager swiftly came back to haunt me. I made it down the bend and up to the 7/10th of a mile point. Thankfully someone had been kind enough to leave a spotlight on their barn on tonight which partially lit up the road. I turned around to double back through the forested portion of the road. It really is a short jog through that area, but tonight it seemed as if it took ages. I emerged from the forested area to catch a new glimpse of the moon. Although it still hung low in the sky, the moon had reached a deep red color. This prompted gory visions of all of the slash 'em up, blood everywhere crime scene shows I've watched. My mind went over every ju jitzu-karate choppin'-ninja star throwing move I'd put on any would-be assailants. I kept walking. Alert and prepared for any danger that might cross my path. I reached the 1.2 mark and pushed past my driveway to try to fit in another .8 for the night. I rounded the corner about 2/10th of a mile later and had to walk in front of my brand new neighbor's home. I had only seen the new neighbor once so far...also at night while walking. The thing that disturbs me isn't the neighbor herself, but rather her yard ornaments. Nothing is quite as alarming as walking at night in front of a yard that contains large statutes of snow white and seven creepy ass dwarfs. The snow white is most unnerving. So I watched her very carefully as I walked past, and even glanced behind me to make sure she had not animated and commenced to follow me. I looped back to my driveway quickly. I pressed up a steep hill. I happened to look up to see that there was a dark figure immediately in front of me. It's clothes appeared tattered and it was sluggishly walking somewhat slumped over. I have been so looking forward to the return of the Walking Dead that I instantly thought "Zombies!" A millisecond later I realized it was my shadow. Apparently the light behind me coupled with the hill and angle I was walking cast off a shadow both to my left and the separate Zombie shadow to the front. I feel guilty for all I have eaten today and for what little exercise I did. Perhaps the calorie gods will look favorably on me tonight though as my mind was certainly working frantically.
