HCB's Journal, 11 February 2013

Weighed in this morning and was up just 2/10 of a pound - not bad considering the sodium consumption on Friday. I guess I am still flushing it out.

I hate the feeling of too much salt and processed carbs, don't you?
My rings get tight, stomach feels bloated, face looks puffy, argh!

But, it does resolve itself in a couple days of drinking good water and protein. Amazing how I lived always feeling bloated and didn't really understand the difference.

Now, I love feeling "thin" and "light" when the system is free of the salt and too much processed carbs.

Today is IF (intermittent fasting) Monday - I seem to look forward to it because it gives my mind and body a rest. And, I am ALL about resting!


Still grateful for:

- The people I love who love me back!
- The good health of my loved ones
- My FS Buddies who support and encourage me to continue
- "Butt-kicking" myself to a smaller size today

I know exactly what you mean in regards to salt.. I love salt.. But talk about blowing up like a balloon when I have consumed too much. So enjoy your water.. Have a good day! :D

I totally agree about how much better it feels to be "thin and light" rather than that awful bloated and puffy feeling. I'm also amazed at just how much excess fluid my body is capable of grabbing onto! My weight can swing upwards of 5 lbs in the blink of an eye - of course, it takes much longer to convince it to let go of said fluid! Enjoy your IF day. I might try that again but do it on Wednesday when I don't have weight lifting to worry about my protein intake afterward.

I hear you about the bad carbs vs good carbs. Now before I out something in my mouth I think am I going to pay for this later?

I remember the cycle - eat, get bloated, and then eat some more because we feel sorry for ourselves because we are bloated. DUH!

You rest up, my friend! I am amazed too when I think of how and some of the things I used to eat. I guess it works both ways -- how adaptable our bodies are!

Ugh yep, the salty bloated feeling is so awful, I hate it. I'm sure you're feeling better today after the IF day. Yay!!

I hate that feeling of being bloated and it really doesn't take much salt/sodium to make me feel that way.
