Not following my listed diet but am eating for weightlifting. I'm not focusing on losing "weight" (whatever the heck that means) but am focused on regaining strength. Hitting the heavy weights 4x/week and am just now starting to see an uptick in the graphs I use for tracking. Woo! My weight is pretty consistently under 220 and would like to keep it there. My ultimate goal is to remain this weight and lose fat/gain muscle throughout the months leading up to next summer. I'm sure to evaluate and re-evaluate as the months go on but for now I'm working on that reshaping. It's not just about eating less to meet some arbitrary value on the scale. I have a vision of what I want to look like and it doesn't include the words "skinny" ;)

Gotta love the early quick drop. Focusing on non-processed foods only. Doing HIIT in the mornings and lifting heavy 4x/week. Need to make sure I'm eating enough after this first week to ensure I'm doing my best to maintain (increase?) muscle and strength.

Back from our lengthy trip to Peru and had a fantastic time. Despite the incredible amounts of walking I think all it did was make me hungry because I certainly enjoyed myself a bit too much. I have been lifting weights with the intention of gaining strength again after having lost a bunch of weight over the last years and have been working through that process over the last month or so. With that in mind and the vacation I'm expecting some weight gain but it still doesn't feel great. The month of August is going to be focused on reducing inflammation and a return to non-processed foods. I'm adding some small HIIT in the mornings to get the blood flowing :) and sticking to my strength routine 3-4x/week.
I'll be tracking food again for a while to make sure I'm not eating too little. It's difficult to be sure to eat enough when you cut out all the processed foods and I also want to make sure I'm getting enough of the appropriate macro breakdown. Shooting for 40/40/20.

Technically the scale said 209.6 so I was excited to break into the 2-0-something again but I'm always a bit uncomfortable with those exact measurements so I'll list it as nice round numbers. I've also changed my goal weight because it's not about what the scale says for me this time. I'm lifting weights on a more structured program and focusing on muscle gain as well as fat loss. We are heading out on vacation so my program will take a slight break but when I return I will be tweaking it again to focus even more heavily on the weight lifting component. Looking forward to more progress!
