I'm tall (5'9) and was always slender and active growing up. But in middle school and high school (though I was still active in sports) I struggled with Anorexia, so I was thinner than ever before. I was never overweight until I started my first job 4 years a go...and gained almost 60 lbs. I have been yo-yoing (plus or minus 20 lbs) ever since.

I am motivated to have a healthy relationship with food for the first time in my adult life. I want to be healthy and and confident as I move into my dream career (I am graduating from my Masters program in Advertising this August!) and look forward to getting engaged and spending my life with my wonderful boyfriend of 2 years.

I would like to weigh 130-140 lbs (depends how I look at the weight, because I have not really ever been at a healthy weight as an adult). I want to work out 3-5 times a week (incorporating yoga and pilates) and I want to incorporate biking into my commute.

I'm currently doing weight watchers, but I incorporate aspects of the south beach and lite for life into my diet.

Foods you can't live without
Three new favorite snacks...

don't laugh, but:

Gerber Graduates (yes the baby food!) Yogurt Melts (1/2 pt a serving, totally nutritious and definitely satisfies that sweet tooth)

and Gerber Graduates L'il Chrunchies in mild cheddar (1/2 pt a serving for a healthier version of cheetos!)

and ANY of the flavors of Sensible Foods chrunch-dries snacks. About a point for a serving (sometimes 1.5 or 2 pts) and 1/2 cup of fruit!

Trip to Vegas
I would LOVE to do Vegas with you guys! By then, I will be working full-time and will be in desperate need of a vacation...keep me posted! And if it's in February, I'll bring the boyfriend...he would LOVE to meet all the ladies that are helping his bebek stay so motivated about having a healthier life. Smile

Sparkling Mineral Water
So...I was wondering if any of you guys know anything about sparkling mineral water (in terms of it being less good for you than regular water).

I've been getting into drinking flavored sugar-free sparkling mineral water. It helps me drink more water (because I feel like I am getting a "treat"Wink and the crystal geyser brand is low in sodium (only 35 mg per serving) which I know can be an issue with mineral water.

Anyone know the deal who can set me straight? I'd really love to hear the whole take on sparkling vs non sparkling...
