11 July 2014

Feeling stellar. Work is great...workout was good. I'm enjoying healthy farmer's market fare. I held out until 11:30 before eating my breakfast...and I really was hungry. Lunch was last night's dinner. Made a delicious dinner of chicken and brussels sprouts roasted with onion and bacon. My total fat is a little high...I don't feel like I'm eating that much fat, but there it is. Once the Panera Bread Caesar dressing is gone that should help. I bought it for 4th of July and it is just left over. I'll be back to a simple vinaigrette when it is gone. Also, once the mixed greens are gone (I had two large containers), I won't be eating salad as much. Not necessarily a good thing, but I do get tired of it.

My plans for the weekend (all day I was thinking 'Oh thank Heaven for 7/11' and it kind of fit since it's Friday. It is also payday Friday, which makes it the best. After workout, dinner, and it is almost 10 p.m. and I'm still going strong and feeling great. The only negative is that the 1 lb. I lost is back today. Oh well...just keep doing what I know I need to do and I'll eventually get where I want to be.

07 July 2014

I was hungry this morning since I ate light yesterday, but I held out until 1:30 p.m. It turns out I am an accidental intermittent faster. Eating a late lunch and dinner and nothing else is just easier. I have been eating this way for several months and I'd heard of...but never looked into...intermittent fasting. Had no idea that's what I was doing. Since I don't really crave anything anyway, it works. The jury is out if it will work on the scale when I really start to restrict calories to lose fat.

I've been re-reading Lyle McDonald's Ultimate Diet 2.0. I read it several years ago and didn't really do it. If I can drop these extra 6 lbs. that have climbed on the past two years, I think I'm going to go for it and see if I can manage some serious body re-comping in my old age. Always up for the challenge.

06 July 2014

Okay, written on July 6 for July 5. Not sure why I can't edit the date.

Ugh...don't know how many of today's calories actually counted as I spent most of the day in bed or in the bathroom throwing it all up. Much of the contents of my stomach that ended up in the toilet included last night's dinner. So, maybe those calories didn't count either. Yuck...gross!

Sunday's entry since I can't apparently make two on the same day and it wouldn't let me set the date back on the first entry:

After spending most of Saturday in bed and pukey, I am taking it slow, ramping up my intake gradually to make sure everything has settled. After my steak, everything seems to be moving in the right direction. Yay! I did experience a few pounds weight loss from the vomit fest, but I know that will be back by tomorrow most likely. Still, it is always fun to see the drop on the scale...sick as that may be.
