I'm a 42 year old hairdresser. I have been on every kind of "diet" that you can imagine. Since I was in the 6th grade. The very first diet was the Scarsdale diet. I remember eating grapefruit with diet sweetener and dry toast. I have held on to the same 30+ pounds now for over 10 years. I have lost 15 of it here and there. Today I want to do something about it. I want today to be different. I don't want to diet I want to live better.
I want to have a better relationship with food and my body. Most important I want to feel better. I am a hairdresser and educator, so I stand on my feet a lot. I love what I do and I want to do it for another 20 years. I want to have a family.
I love to walk, jog, ride my bike, some weights, bands, yoga, and swimming. I have done a half marathon, a mini triathalon and a few boot camps. But I never know how to move from those events to daily movement. One day at a time.
