Good morning everyone!! After a week of not having to use my alarm clock I woke up this morning desperately trying to find out what that god awful beeping noise was lol. Ugh, back to the grind!

Had a WONDERFUL weekend, best weekend of my life so far lol. My husband and I spent the evening at Cedar Point Saturday (after I dropped my wedding rings off to be resized... again!). We rode big scary rides and walked around the park for about six hours. I had some fresh cut fries, but passed on the elephant ear.... god did I want that elephant ear lol. We ate at Applebee's afterwards, but salad and mozzarella sticks filled me up before my entrée came out, took almost all of it home with me. I didn't track at all, but I think it was a really good day all the way around. Woke up Sunday and went on a long bike ride, with my husband! So much more fun to have someone to ride with. Stopped by a farmers market and got some fresh produce, woohoo. Life is good... well it was yesterday lol.

Only working half day today, which I'm very excited about. Got exam #2 tomorrow, and I really need to start studying. I spent the weekend in lala land celebrating my anniversary, time to get back at it.

Oh, up to forty miles for July after my weekend excursions. If I can keep at a 5K a day, then I will make my 75 mile goal. The plan for today is kettle bells and maybe a long walk would be nice too. That should land me over my 3.1 required miles. That's the plan at least!

Hope everyone has a wonderful day, even though it's Monday.

Best weekend ever, that is great. I hear you on the alarm clock. Yesterday I hit the sleep button instead of snooze, then it took me a couple minutes with the alarm and radio blaring to figure out how to get out of sleep mode...at least I was fully awake after thar so I guess it did its job.

Reads like a truly wonderful weekend ~ thank you for sharing with us. I must ask.. what is an Elephant ear?

What Bella?!?! It can't just be a Midwest thing?? An elephant ear is a deep fried piece of dough (lol) rolled out real thin and round like an elephant's ear. It's smothered in cinnamon sugar. Oh, and they are to die for, right up there with funnel cakes for sure. You have to know what a funnel cake is, right? lol

It could be a southern thang but I've only been to one carnival since losing the weight this time and everything I saw on that food court was 'on a stick'... and I don't recall seeing elephant ears on a stick. Now, if memory serves, a funnel cake.. is anything but a funnel, right? It's basically fried dough covered with powder'd sugar, isn't it? So I knew elephant ear wasn't an actual elephant (or had to pray it wasn't) just like a bear claw is my favorite pastry but isn't really a bear or a claw.... Well... one of them (my fav).

Congrats Yolanda on a great weekend and anniversary. Sounds wonderful!! I have been to a quite a few fairs, carnivals, water parks etc around here. The funnel cakes are a big thing. One of my past bfs could not walk past the vendor without getting one, two scoops of chocolate ice cream, chocolate sauce, and double dose of marachino cherries in sugar liquid on top of it, which we would share :). No elephant ears, but that does sound yummy. Obviously, I wouldn't touch one now, especially since I can't seem to stop at one bite. Best not to start something, in my case, that would turn out to be a disaster. Even though I feel my control is really good right now :)
