Good morning everyone! Been trying to get caught up on journals but I fear I'm still drastically behind. I'm sorry if I've missed you!!
I managed to get 5.5 miles in yesterday, bringing my total monthly miles to 33. I'm getting there. I'm behind, no doubt about it, but it's do-able... and I will meet this challenge!!
Yesterday, well lets start by saying that I do not have an aortic aneurysm lol. I asked my doctor about my new found navel pulse, and he said my aorta feels fine and it's due to my weight loss that I can now feel my navel pulse. I was bombarded with congratulations over my 110lb loss at the doctors office, the medical assistants and the doctor were in awe. Everyone wanted to know how I did it, lol I'm not even sure how to answer that! Watch what I eat, count calories, and focus on fitness. Healthy carbs, lots of proteins, moderate healthy fats... They're amazed. My doctor asked me what motivated me to make those changes and what came out of my mouth kind of shocked me. I told him that I didn't want to die of something that I could have prevented. I don't want my kids to think "well mom would still be here if she would have taken care of herself a little better". When I go I want it to be because it was just my time, not because I really loved pizza and really hated exercise. Then the doc told me I look like one of those people from the nutrisystem commercials, I joked that I thought about selling my before and after photos to them and he said I should hahaha. Funny doctor.
In other news I got some fresh fruit and veggies in yesterday. Bell pepper and cucumber on my sandwich for lunch, and watermelon with dinner. I was amazed at how sweet watermelon is now that I don't eat a lot of sweet. Yummers!! Working on living :)
Today is my big day, cedar point as long as this rain goes away!! Say a prayer for me. Going to have oodles of fun, and not tracking calories today. Just enjoying moderately. Going to try and get some miles in too!!
