I am a wife and mother of two girls. My line of work is project portfolio management and it involves a lot of travelling overseas. My favourite things are reading, writing, Caribbean Resorts, France, Italy, Disney (still, after all these years) Baked Alaska, Creme Brulee and Italian food. I live just outside the Greater Toronto Area (aka the burbs) and drive to work in the city center every day. I have three sisters and we are all extremely close (my best friends). My husband is a wonderful man and it is because of him that I am able to take on such a demanding job since he is so engaged as a father/husband. By the end of August next year, I hope to achieve my weightloss, health and lifestyle goals. I am a workholic that is going through reformation.

As of January 1, 2014 I have taken some time away from work to focus on myself and my family. This sabbatical of sorts, will allow me to pursue some of my dreams for the next year. I feel blessed to have this opportunity without financial worries in the background. One of my main goals is to address my health/wellness and emerge from 2014 stronger, healthier and more focused on the things that really matter.

so i just made my dr apt to get my hernia looked at that ive known about for like 3 years now....havent up til now because ive been scared to death to have a surgery to fix it but it hinders me in doing daily things and even more when i try to exercise and it wont just go away by itself...so i guess if im trying to get healthy then i need to just do it completely...still scared though...dont like doctors and hate surgery even more....does anyone know anyone or have u had the surgery? just wondering how bad it is and how long recovery will take.

I had an umbilical hernia which I surgically fixed back in 2004. Unfortunately, during my recovery I went to a baby shower and leaped to save some toddlers who were about to fall down a flight of stairs .. it undid the operation. However, as far as the original surgical procedure, it went well and recovery would have been flawless if I did not have that accident. Within a few days I was up and walking around. However, I was not allowed to lift anything for 6 weeks (the accident happened in the third week). After I lose some more weight I plan to do the operation again (this time for keeps).

weighing in question
I had the same problem and here's what I did. On the right side of your screen, choose "My Weight History". Once that opens up, scroll down the page and on the right side of the screen close to the bottom, there is a list of options that allow you to change various things. Click on "Change my starting weight" and it will allow you to make the update. There may be easier ways to do it but that is what I did. Good luck.

Protein Sources besides dairy & powder shakes
Nuts would be another good source of protein. Also, lentils. Lentils have the third-highest level of protein, by weight, of any legume or nut, after soybeans and hemp.

What happened to Perrier - it dissappeared from the Food Journal
Thanks for the tip drinkwaterx4. That's great to know since I have been choosing products I felt were similar to what I am having in some cases. Now I can add the specific ones I'm consuming.
