TGIS… although I'm faking it a bit as I had a rough night last night. ATF yesterday was good, but the salad I had for dinner just didn't agree with me and my acid reflux flared overnight. It was a tempeh salad from Whole Foods that I'd not tried before, but I'll now stay away from! Usually it's alcohol or eating too late that can cause a flare up, but neither applied yesterday, so I'll back away from the tempeh in the future. And in the near future today, I'll back toward a nap to help with the lack of sleep.
Luckily, it's a low-key weekend. DH and I are doing cardio tennis this morning then meeting MIL to look at a condo this afternoon. Otherwise the day is free, luckily. I'll keep that mindfulness toolbox with me to help if my fatigue tries to disguise itself as hunger. And to start the day in the best possible way, I'll pray --
God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change; courage to change the things I can; and wisdom to know the difference.
Living one day at a time; Enjoying one moment at a time; Accepting hardships as the pathway to peace; Taking, as He did, this sinful world as it is, not as I would have it; Trusting that He will make all things right if I surrender to His Will; That I may be reasonably happy in this life and supremely happy with Him Forever in the next. Amen.
And, I'll keep praying, breathing, logging, journaling, expressing & celebrating my way through this one day and each one meal, moment, bite, thought & emotion. I'm so grateful for each of incredible you, my family & IRL friends, power naps… and that I'm a good taker of them, low-key weekends, and having the health & wealth to celebrate this life I love! xoxox
