I am an obese woman. That is hard to come to terms with... I had back surgery in May(2010) and while I was in surgery the doctor came out and told one of my best friends and my husband I needed to lose 100+ and to consider weight loss surgery...or I would never rid myself of back problems or my high blood pressure. When my husband told me this...I was humiliated...because he told them that...I knew it...but, it was like I didn't want them to know that...even though I know they did..make sense?

I have a 16 year old son...who I want to see grow into a man...I want to spend a long life with my husband - we have many years to look forward to. I want to work until retirement age...yes I actually like working.

taking a break
I don't agree with breaks - I have been on diets all my life and have come to realize that when you are considering taking a break - you are setting yourself up for failure. What usually happens on these breaks? You eat all the stuff that you have worked so hard on not eating or portion controlling. It is really hard to bounce back from that. Just my opinion. Normally I wouldn't post a response to this - but this is a lifetime change - something you will always have to do - when you lose weight and want to maintain you have to ALWAYS monitor - never just let go.
