I have been married for over 17 yrs. to a dedicated, God fearing, Army man & I am a SAHM of 4 wonderful, active children. We are from the midwest but are currently stationed in Alaska. We live in one of the most beautiful places on God's Earth but I've been too fat to really enjoy living here, enough already! I have been overweight & battling food for years & I am determined to win the battle!

-250 lbs. on 3/1/11, that's 50 down!

Are Carbs Really That Bad
Your brain runs on carbohydrates, it was designed that way. Whole foods, processed as little as possible are always the best way to go. Food was made to be eaten in it's natural form. Whole grain bread doesn't mean whole wheat, so yes, I check labels.

Lost 45 w/ little effort, now with tons of effort I'm putting on weight??
Thanks. I have lost about 4% body fat since beginning 2 1/2 mos. ago, so I'm happy about that. I guess I'm just having an off day where the scale isn't my friend. I need to ignore it but it's tough, I want this so bad!

Lost 45 w/ little effort, now with tons of effort I'm putting on weight??
Please help! I lost 40 lbs. without working out, I just watched what I ate. I'm still doing that & have begun to excersize, I do everyday & had lost an additional 5 lbs. Now my weightloss has stopped and I'm back up by a pound & a 1/2. I can do more in my workouts but I thought that if I'm still watching my calories, choosing better foods & working out that I'd continue to lose weight. I can't understand why I'm not! Any suggestions?

Sexual activity- Does it count as exercise?
It's funny that you'd ask this cuz I've been thinking/wondering the same thing. I was told that it burns approx. 5 calories per minute for slow up to 10 per vigorous. I'm going to start adding it, hey you are burning calories! You can add it under 'other' & it asks for a description of that excersize, as for what to put there, idk. Hope that helps.
