Hi 👋🏻 I'm Megan! I'm a 37 year old wife and mom of two little girls. I've had a complicated relationship with food and my body for as long as I can remember. I'm trying to work on being healthy and strong as an example for my kids so I don't instill these insecurities in them as well. I'm tired of "fad diets" and am just going with the Calories In -- Calories Out approach.

Busy, busy, busy. Motivation lacking.
This is my first post despite being on the site for several years. I am getting married in March and having a difficult time finding the motivation that I should have to shed these extra 15 pounds and look fantastic in my dress. I am a public school teacher (middle school) and I know that is a pretty big part of it as well. I tend to stress-eat and/or eat on the run. Making healthy food choices is certainly a challenge with a 20 minute lunch/bathroom break. I also wish I could drink more water throughout the day, but when I do I find I have to sprint to the restroom in between every class, which is simply not practical. I'm also totally exhausted by the end of the day and the idea of going for a run (or even on the treadmill upstairs) is overwhelming. I know, these are a lot of excuses, which is why I would love to get some accountability and encouragement from others in a similar position.

As far as exercise goes, has anyone had great success with the Couch to 5k program? I have never been able to develop anything more than a passionate loathing for running, but I know it is the best form of exercise for weight loss.

Also, does anyone have a great workout (minimal equipment needed) to work out back and shoulders for a strapless wedding gown?

Very Happy
