I am 63 years old and weight 260 pounds...I have been a widow for almost 7 years and have gained alot of weight, food fills the void.

I retired at 60 so I could move back home to be close to my 2 grown children and their familes. Each son has 4 children so they have lives of their own and are very busy with work & their own families. I am very independent so I don't expect my children to keep me occuppied all the time.

I have not had a date since my husband died,,I tell myself it's because I am so picky but I know inside it's because I am so self-conscious about my weight, I don't give anyone the chance to get close to me..I'm afraid someone will notice I am FAT..so I eat..

I am so glad I found this site..
TODAY IS THE FIRST DAY OF THE REST OF MY LIFE

I started dancing at the senior centers but have had foot surgery so I have not been able to dance for about 3 months...so guess what.. not being able to do much ..I eat..food never lets me down..

ADDIING THIS ADDITION TO BIO 2/10/2011

I am in size 22 today 2/10/2011
size 20 3/01/2011
size 18 4/01/2011

EATING AFTER 6:00 PM??
I have a question for anyone who does this. I have not been losing like I think I should, I have only cheated a few times since Jan 17, I have only lost 8 pounds, is this normal? I'm sure it is because it throws your system off. I have been wondering if I should not snack after 6:00 PM. Does anyone else stop eating at 6:00PM and does this seem to help in losing?.

Slipped Up
Hoser - I had not cheated in 2 weeks and I was at a standstill on my weight, I ate a bowl of homemade chili, cookies & popcorn. I weighed this morning and I was down a pound. I thought maybe I had restarted my system.

Question about water
First of all I don't know if I have bad breath because I live alone!! I really think I do though. I am constipated so I take a bowel softener which helps alot. I never have trouble like that except when I go on Adkins, but it's really the only diet I can stick to..so I guess it's worth it..
