Is Atkins healthy?
Thank you. I have learned so much from all of you at fatsecret. I think I will do as Katana said, take in a little from every diet and go with my instinct, what I think is healthy for me. We are all different, but we all are aiming for the same thing, to be at our best and healthy, and I hope all of us reaches our goals!!!

Is Atkins healthy?
I agree. I went to one of the atkins forum, and the first two topics were...constipation...and a cucumber has too much carbs.

That says enough for me. I am sticking to my way of eating, cause no diet is going to tell me fruits are a no no. Smile

Is Atkins healthy?
Okay, First of all I'm not judging this diet. Iam interested in it. I have some concerns though and I figured atkineers would of maybe one time had the same concerns, so maybe you have done the research and know. I am asking this because Iam doing weight watchers and for my point and calories to not get out of control I have to pick whole wheat, high fiber, fruits and veggies..well...healthy foods. I also have to portion control. I was looking at recipes and EVERY ONE that caught my attention and made my mouth water was extremely high points and well...what I have been reading...bad for you. And they were atkins recipes. cheese, egg, bacon, pepperoni, sourcream, yum-o!! But just hearing that makes me think of hardning areries and fatty liver. I know the diet works..but is it healthy?

Do I need to eat all points?
I log my food as I eat, because planning never works with my changing "food moods". But I've noticed that at nighttime after dinner, I need like 5 more points. I'm not hungry, and when I look at my food journal, I like what I see. I see about 1300 calories, but only 23 points (i need 2Cool. Is it important to get in all your points? Can you bank them? Isn't it silly to eat unwanted food just to make the point goal?

I can't afford weight watcher meetings..any help would be appreciated! Thanks.
