Day 4 on my diet program...hmmm I eat more now than before and honestly I cannot eat more... I used to only eat two meals a day breaky and dinner.. Now I am eating 3 meals a day... I used to begin my day with a high protein start: eggs and English style bacon on 2 slices of toast often with mushrooms. Dinner used to be 3 veges and meat or homemade spaghetti bolognase. My down fall was iced coffees, cheese baked spuds plus at times I made homemade cakes... oh I used to also eat a ice cream for dessert when we could afford them.. So eating lunch is a new thing for me.. Also, I have found I am now finally hungry by lunchtime. The dietitian claims that to kick start my metabolism eating regularly throughout the day will help me to lose weight.

Well time will tell weight in is on Saturday and measuring the waist, hips, thighs, bust, upper arms....

Ok I have started this weight loss program because my GP told me to lose some weight as it may help with my arthritis problems or at least minimise the pressure on my joints... Saw a dietitian whom suggested a recommended eating plan from the 5 groups of foods and daily recommended servings from each group. I started yesterday before I found this site. It was interesting to discover this site because now I can also monitor how I am going using the recommendations my dietitian gave me with the calorie counter to make sure I am not consuming too many calories as well.. Interesting though I eat more on this diet than before because I only ever ate 2 meals a day..I do believe that my thyroid condition in conjunction with maybe a few too many purchased iced coffees and the occasional biscuit and cake were the problems of weight gain.. I do not want to lose my weight quickly but over a period of time... So here goes...will be interesting to see how I go..
