I am almost 40 years old...looking to be a lot more confident in my own skin by my 40th Birthday in February 2014. I feel like I have been trying to lose weight my whole adult life and have just never been able to get it all together. I have had a lot of ah ha moments in the last year and things are starting to click, I just need a big kick in the butt to get it all together and realizing that food is 80% of the journey. I NEED to get better on what I put in my mouth and know that once I can tackle that things will start changing for the better!

How do I fit in more calories
thanks for the replies...they all pretty much go against what I have been understanding about eating the food concept...I am under the impression that this is what I am to eat to lose.

currently 210 pounds, why does my RDI calculate at 2100 if I should only eat 1500?

How do I fit in more calories
I would love advice and guidance on how to get to my daily goal. I find it so hard to eat more.

Today I am at 1616 and I think I am supposed to be around 2100 and I am so full, maybe I need to add more snacks in during the day but even then I feel like I am forcing food.

Today's food:
Cheerios/Milk
Coffee
Egg Frittata
Almonds
Cream of Vegetable soup
2 biscuits
Nutriblast smoothie
2 snack sized kitkat bars
Chicken breast with stuffing
Ritz cheese filled crackers

Its 7pm, today is a 12 hour work day, I am done at 9pm I will go home and probably be in bed by 10:30pm the latest.

what can I add to help reach my calories each day without feeling like I am eating nonstop?

I joined a while back but wasn't active on the site. I am now active and ready to go, looking forward to making buddies and getting the support needed to have a successful journey.

I definitely have learned that my diet needs to change and change for life not just a week or so. I need to be more careful about what I put in my mouth!
