I am 38 years old, married, no children from Cleveland, OH. I have a great job in education and overall my life is going fairly well, can't complain.

I have been overweight since I was 8 years old. My parents never taught me healthy eating or portion control so these are habits I had to develop on my own by learning through research and friends.

I went to the doctor for a physical on Sept 12th 2013 and I didn't get good news (not dying). I decided that day that I am not going to be 58 with a ton of medical issues or worse dead due to my love of food.

There once was a time 17 years ago when I went to the gym 4-5 days a week and did some pretty impressive weight lifting, I have decided to bring those days back! My wife introduced me to Fatsecret to keep track of my Caloric intake, and I go to the gym 4 days a week. I love it.

I plan to run a 43 floor stair climb for charity in March 2014 and then The Cleveland Triathlon August 2014. After that, who knows, I might venture into amatuer fitness shows. I have big plans and all them include me being in excellent physical shape!

Editing/removing weigh ins
Does anyone know how to edit or remove weigh ins? Apparently the scale I was using was not accurate, got a new one and I need to fix my old weigh ins.

Come on really?
Thank you for the replies and advice.

I think the thing that shocked me the most was I did not expect to see such a little weight change. I can tell my body is changing, toning up, getting stronger and I must be losing fat and gaining muscle at a very close ratio.

I instead took all my measurements and will monitor my progress over the next few months. I am going to stop by my gym and have my body fat measured as well, and just judge my progress via those methods. Thanks again.

Come on really?
So I am keeping my diet at 2000-2500 cals per day. I go to the gym 4 days a week, 75% weight lifting 25% cardio. Making sure I eat lots of protien, whey protein shake etc.

I feel great, I guessed I lost like 10lbs this month so I hop on the scale and I lost 3. All my cloths fit better, stomach is flatter, the scale tells me only 3.

I am genetically gifted with the ability to gain muscle very easily but 5-7lbs of muscule in one month? Come on! Not sure what I'm doing wrong. Should I drop my cals per day down to 1800-2200? hmmm.
