Im A busy stay-at-home mom of two! Since having my second child, I battle Hashi's. So, now it takes work to lose weight and everything I used to do has failed me in trying to lose weight and tone up. A friend led me to Fat Secret, So, here I am!! I am counting calories, watching what I eat and bound and determined to look good in a two-peice once more! :)
I am feeling motivated, positive, and geared towards changing my whole lifestyle to a very healthy one and slowly losing the extra pounds and keeping it off!
Looking for buddies who are motivated, positive, and wanting to give eachother lots of encouragement, swap tips and stories, etc!
I WILL succeed! :) We all will succeed!!!!

Calorie Count too restrictive?
Calorie counting isnt too restrictive. Its actually quite easy. And the daily recomended calories is different for everyone. For someone like myself, who has hashimotos (hypothyroid)...my calorie intake may be lower than a normal persons body because my body does not burn as quickly....
i love calorie counting. it is a lifestyle change. and for the rest of my life! and the only diet i am actually seeing results with! and trust me, the last 3 years, i have been trying it all....
I do see 1000 calories a day as being a tad bit on the low side...i have heard that below 1200 on a constant basis can actually put your body in a starvation mode (i heard that from a dietician)...and i was told it is good to fluctuate...dont go below 1200 (here and there is ok howver...)....and raise your caloies a couple hundred on days of heavy activity...lower calories on days of no activity...

PMS
Grease and salt. I hit horrible PMS a week and a half before I start. I am moody, bloated and my cravings are out of control. I just want to munch all day long on anything greasy, salty and cruntchy. Sweets are not my weakness. I am not a sweets person...BUT, the greasy, salty carbs call to me and I am a monster if I can't get to them. I am heading into that week very soon and thought Id throw out a post. HOW do you combat the PMS cravings??!! I dont want to blow my diet each month when this time comes around. What are some low cal, low fat substitutes that will curb the craving?!! Any suggestions?
