Have gained 11 lbs. since the death of my partner 2016. I have been out of control with my food as has been my life. Must get this weight gain off because it adds to stress. I walk 5 miles a day, 5 days a week but it seems to make no difference. I know I can do this...but like most things it won't be easy.

My partner of 35 years passed away this Dec.30. I was her caregiver for the last 2 years so I am how completely lost. She fought such a brave battle against lung/bone cancer. I am going to use this site and your journal entries as encouragement to help me get back into life and stay on task with food. The best to all for the new year!

OK, I admit I don't know if I can lose this 8 lbs again. Is there anyone out there that will buddy with me and give me the added kick in the butt I need to get the job done. I am and have been a care given, going on the 2nd year now, and the stress is just about to take its toll. Her family gives me a 2hr. break every day, they leave and then there are 22 hours left. I dont mean to complain but just leaving the house for a walk has to be scheduled. I have no control over anything in my life plus I havent had an uninterrupted nights sleep since the 1st of Oct. this year. Up every four hours and then some in between. Depression has set in and its showing in my weight. Weight I promised myself would never be regained. I know what I need to do but just dont seem able to get the job done.

Totally out of control with food. I could make a lot of excuses but it boils down to my lack of willpower and the fork. Today is my day for taking back my life!
