I keep getting locked out of my account, so not happy about that. There is some ongoing problem with this site and iPad Safari, which they seem unable to sort out. There is no app to use instead, which is a bit backward and some of the browser features do not translate on iOS so I am unable to fill in the little questionnaire for the challenge I am doing without firing up the PC. Ok - little petty rant over. If that was my biggest problem, then I'd be lucky. Biggest boost of the year so far - I'm out of the 200s!!!! Yay!!! Happy dancing all over the house! It's been a very long time since that happened. I am now using a different app to track my progress - I didn't cotton to tracking on here as I am used to the WW one and this one doesn't do points. The new one does and it is more flexible than WW so have cancelled with them as I don't follow their diet, despite what it says on here. I tried to change that, but I would have to start again with everything I've logged so I'm not bothering. I come here for the support, which is brilliant. It's actually not raining/hailing/sleeting so far today for a change - the sun has got his hat on although it's a bit parky outside (chilly). I feel so fortunate when I read about the temperatures and conditions some of you are enduring at the moment. I shall bask in the brightness while it lasts and hope that this entry actually posts and doesn't get swallowed up in the ether. Have a wonderful weekend everyone. :0D

Kind of feel like we're between a rock and a hard place. Went with DH to his appointment with the consultant at the hospital today and we heard pretty much what I expected and didn't want to - that surgery is his best option to cure what ails him. This news did come from a surgical consultant, so no big surprise. We had hoped the meds he is on would solve things, but apparently they are not as magical as we had supposed. He's been put on an emergency waiting list for the procedure, which could well have to be re-done in a decade, so things are in limbo until we hear. Feel rather pressured into going down that route; we need to talk it over and also consult our GP for her opinion. Best wishes to all of you, especially those who are going through difficulties, whatever shape they come in. This too shall pass.

Here's to leaving the 200s next week!! Changed tracking apps midweek from Weight Watchers to another one as WW one down for four days; new one cost very little in a one off payment, is more flexible and won't cost me a sub of nearly £10 per month. I was only using WW as I never cancelled my online subscription from the days when I used to try to keep to their plan and failed repeatedly. Now I need to settle back to tracking properly again after the upheavals of the past weeks. DH is still improving bit by bit, although his energy levels deplete quite quickly; DS moved back in today for an indeterminate period. I spent the past two days cleaning the kitchen and three flights of stair walls/banisters at the flat he's giving up. I hate housework and it was a labour of love to clean for him when my own house needs some TLC urgently, but he was a real brick when DH was at his worst, even taking a week off from his own job to help out at our office, so it was deserved. It's going to be strange having him around again, even though he's been back twice before since leaving home the first time lo those many years ago (10 or so), but I think he'll find it stranger; condensing his life back into one room from a two bed, three floor flat will be weird for him. Still, it'll focus his mind on saving the deposit for his own house, which is the point behind the move. Hope you all find yourselves well and in the pink. :0)
