Love is: cooking smoked haddock at midnight for my poorly husband who has hardly eaten for a week. <3

Have arrived at the 3 stone mark!! Woo hoo!! Still need to do run no 3 of week 1 on C25K, but DH has been very unwell this week and has spent a lot of time in bed with the curtains closed, so I haven't been able to use the cross trainer very often. Did one walkout routine from the Fitness Channel, but now we're both feeling a bit ropy from the detoxifying effects of the coconut oil and apple cider vinegar I've put us both on to strengthen our immune systems and clean us out. DH is improving slowly day by day, but it will be a long haul to get him right again. He has to change his diet and habits from now on in forever and he accepts this fortunately. It's a shame that he has had to be ill to realise this instead of making changes earlier from choice, but we are heading in the right direction now :0), though sadly it means we will miss our middle grandson's ninth birthday gathering tomorrow. There are a lot of people much worse off than us however, so onward and upward as they say.

I stepped on the scales this morning with much trepidation after my week away and not having tracked at all over all the festivities to this point (I was sure something would catch up with me) and was delighted! Thank you Cypriot salads!! I promised myself before Christmas that I would begin to incorporate exercise into my life and last night made a deal with my mind to begin today if I showed a loss on the scale so I did some core strengthening and started the couch to 5K on my cross trainer from the beginning (I started it during our heat wave and didn't last). My goal is to follow that to the end and then hopefully start it again on the road when the weather permits. At the rate the rain keeps falling here at the mo, I'll be swimming it!!

No weigh in today as I am in Cyprus and my scales are in the UK!! It was interesting to find that my scales weighed my suitcase at exactly the same weight as the check in scales at the airport. Am enjoying my Cypriot salads and veggies - they taste so much nicer than the ones at home. Must be the volcanic soil. Have also enjoyed a few glasses of wine with my chicken skewers at a local restaurant. I'm not tracking anything but I'm also not going bonkers and am still following the same pattern of eating; it will be interesting to see what the result is next week.
