Long term Fatsecret member. Somehow life gets me behind the 8 ball and I end up sacrificing time for myself. That means not taking time to assess my eating habits and not making time for regular exercise.

So, got a trip to Disney World coming up this summer. First time for my 2 boys, 11 and 6 years old. We've got a lot of pavement pounding ahead of us and I want to be in tip top shape.

Also my 11 year old son is really getting into basketball and I know right now, there's NO way I could keep up with him in a pick up game.

Healthier Food Alternatives to a Healthier Me
Oh absolutely Hoser, couldn't agree more. I would love if I only ever had to steer my shopping cart thru the perimter of the grocery store, where all the "love" is. However, (deep sigh), I work 50 hrs a week outside of the home and have 2 young boys. So unfortunately our life at times requires processed food to keep the household running. Some veggies are fresh, but some are canned. I only have time to go grocery shopping every 2 wks, and fresh veggies don't keep that long. But one day, I dream of cooking all meals from scratch, I love to cook so much, just no time...

I always scour the organic aisle for Kashi products. They tend to incorporate more protein and more fiber than their counterparts. They have a great line of breakfast choices and the crackers are yummy also. Happy exploring!

Success on Day 1
Yeah don't be repulsed by size 12. After all, Marilyn Monroe was a size 12 and she was a GODDESS. Smile

hungry soon after eating.
Fat free cottage cheese with some sugar free jelly. Lots of protein. Also, try roasted/salted soy nuts. They have more protein than regular nuts and they're more crunchy, so you get that "potato chip" like fix.

weird things you see people do at the gym
Evil - that's just job security. They're trying to keep us fat, so we keep paying to come back to their gym. Otherwise, if everyone got skinny, no one would come to the gym and they would go out of business. Personally, I think gyms and fitness clubs around the country are paying off McDonalds to make their food as fattening as possible! Smile It's a conspiracy.
