Good Monday Morning ... once again ... with enthusiasm? The weekends are just too short!! The day holds a lot of driving for me ... to see just two families. Hopefully the weather will cooperate so that driving isn't too slippery!! Sounds like the forecast is mostly for rain. Very strange winter here, so far.

Weight is holding pretty steady. I think this is the first Monday I've not had a significant up fluctuation. Usually, after a weekend of increased exercise the scale moves up before it goes back down. Today I was only up two tenths of a pound ... almost not worth mentioning actually. Too late, I already wrote it!!

Today I am grateful for ...

1. feeling my body get stronger and stronger
2. warmer nights and days
3. listening to my mom plan her retirement
4. knowing what hunger feels like
5. a new recipe "magazine" filled with delicious sounding soups

It seems many here are off to a great start this year as we finish up Beet's 7 day challenge. Let's continue to carry on ... taking one step at a time, practicing patience and kindness towards ourselves!!

Wouldn't a three-day weekend be life changing? You could really relax there in the middle. Ahhh. To live in France. Lol. (I don't actually think they have three days weekends. Though I do think that in Europe people understand that we are more than what we "do.") Yay to a not-worth-mentioning Monday gain. Please report back if you find any soups you like. And thank you for reminding us to be patient and kind towards ourselves.

WOW, What a great way to start your week! It sounds like Beets challenge did great for you! So, now, if you really want to lower the scale you can, or if want to maintain you are successful. Good for you, now stay safe on the roads -and warm!

I was just saying that when I got to work this morning. A weekend is not enough to get any rest. It is only enough time to get your stuff done around the house. We definitely need more time for R&R!

At least you have a 3 day weekend coming up, I'm assuming, this weekend for MLK Day? Weekends are always too short. :)

::RAISES ARMS:: "Hurrah, hurrah!" ::SHOUTS:: There's my attempt at enthusiasm. Actually, it's not faked; THIS Monday I don't have to work, nor for the next 5 Mondays :) I am officially off & stealing my last moments to record food and make some buddy comments before I finish my crazed packing. Be safe, Moose. By the by, I loved your comment about your mom's retirement. There's something about listening to my parents commentary about the "don't have to work days" that makes me realize how much they worked & labored for my sister & I. I appreciate them so much, though my mom drives me crazy sometimes. A mother's preogative, ha!
