Okay-one pound gain. I am not too worried. I did well yesterday. Just a small helping of potatoes and stuffing and the tiniest bit of apple crisp, custard and later a forkful of pumpkin pie. I consumed a fair bit of champagne, sangria and wine though...have to do log later. Working today from home.
Hope everyone had a wonderful holiday.

One pound, oh, you did marvelous! Not a big deal, not at all, that doesn't even count as a setback!!! Good for you!

I think we should know better than to weigh ourselves the day after a feast. However it does make us accountable and thats good. No sense ignoring the elephant in the room! I firmly belive what a very prominent diet doctor in Rancho Mirage told me once...he said there is "temporary" weight that you can get rid of easily if you work on it right away it can be gone within 3 days... it you wait 3 days without trying to get rid of it, it becomes "permanent" weight gain and then is more difficult to try to lose. It seems to run true for me. How was your turkey?!

Sangria!!! I'd love to have one of those about now! One pound isn't bad at all! I couldn't bear to get on that scale today. :( You did great yesterday! Kudos!

I was told that the turkey was divine. My stepson-a self appointed expert said it was the best he has ever had. I hope he meant it because I sent him back to school with about ten pounds of it plus most of the mash, all the stuffing-talk about a calorie bomb (I almost cried giving it all away) and half the apple crumble. I must say, our turkey, we called her Sarah P., looked beautiful! It will be the last turkey I will ever cook though. I am returning to my vegan roots.... Now if I can just become a teetotaller as well......

I HAVE to ask....why did you name your turkey Sarah P.???? I really like turkey. Being on the Atkins plan, turkey is about the only think I can eat on Thanksgiving that is totally guilt-free! :)
