Yes, the sun is out on this "Sun"day, although the temps aren't warming up even with it. But, I'm feeling sunny, and really good again as I continue my construction project building that healthy eating & living roadway, which for me means staying gluten, lactose & sugar aware. Weekends are usually more troublesome that during the week, but so far (knocking on wood now!), this one is going smoothly. Even after being out Friday night, having 2 glasses of red wine & getting a short night's sleep, I felt good yesterday & craving free. In trying to be mindful about it, I'm just being curious. But, of course, thrilled none the less too!
I got a lot of book work done yesterday, but because of year-end, there's more to be done today. I took an Angel's advice & have delegated what I could to the accountant's intern. I'm currently doing 3 sets of books -- my BIL's business which he's in the progress of selling, if all goes well, and 2 self storage businesses (1 of which just opened this year) that DH & I have a small % partnership in with his oldest & dearest friend, his friend's family & an investor. All of this bookkeeping, I sort of got volunteered to do, which I have complained about before but it usually doesn't take that much time -- it's just with the pending sale there's much more to do there & the new storage business has to be entirely set up and the mess of this first year booked. Anyway, it's the new business that I've delegated, then hopefully after BIL's business sells, I can get back to it more regularly & it'd be all set up. Having that settled, has helped my mood too as its been hanging over my head for awhile & on the To-Do list much too long.
I'll head to a circuit training exercise class shortly, book work after, then dinner with MIL tonight. So, another good day ahead, which I'll start in prayer --
God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change; courage to change the things I can; and wisdom to know the difference.
Living one day at a time; Enjoying one moment at a time; Accepting hardships as the pathway to peace; Taking, as He did, this sinful world as it is, not as I would have it; Trusting that He will make all things right if I surrender to His Will; That I may be reasonably happy in this life and supremely happy with Him Forever in the next. Amen.
And I'll continue to pray, breathe, log, journal and express my way on this one day and each one meal, moment, bite, thought & emotion along the way. I'm also working on just sitting with the feelings when needed, as sometimes expressing or dealing with them just can't happen. So, I'm trying at those times to be mindful & ride the wave. I'm so grateful for each of spectacular you, my family & IRL friends, oops -- I wanted to be grateful for the sun but see its gone for now!, but of course I'm also grateful for the health & wealth to live this life I love! xoxox
