MommieAnya0220's Journal, 20 October 2008

Have I mentioned there's Halloween candy in the house? Did I also mention that my mom said she bought it for me because I said "I need chocolate"? Well, it's not like I declared to her that it needs to be sugar free dark chocolate.. Anyway.. I've had too many chocolate covered things today, and I have a feeling my weight will up tomorrow.. It's okay.. I think I'll be able to cope, now that I've got some man candy to deal with :)

I'm in the process of rekindling an old flame.. and he totally makes me feel good about myself. Maybe this time around will be different with him and we can proceed without running away from our fears like we both did last time. Anyway ENOUGH of that blah blah stuff.

Okay, I need ideas on what to do about weight/strength training, but I own no weights, other than these 20 pound whoppers that my dad has and it's capable of lifting.. My son is 28.5 pounds, but that's with my WHOLE arm helping.. not just a particular muscle of said arm. I need some solutions that are cheap, and worth my time. I've got canned veggies.. lol.

A chocolate/candy fix is necessary from time to time, I think it is absolutely essential actually. Glad to hear about the old flame which is definitely a positive development. Insofar as the weights are concerned I like 5, 10, and 15 pound dumbbells which I do what I please with (not paying to much attention to any particular routine). Keep up the good work Mommie, you are doing great!

You are doing excellent, Anya!! I keep hearing people suggest the cans when you don't have weights so don't laugh TOO hard ;)

There is nothing easy about this time of year, from halloween thru new years, there seems to be temptations everywhere!! We just have to do the best we can and if we must indulge, try to make the best of the worst choices, and in small quantities! Easier said than done!! lol. Good luck with the old flame.

push ups? there is a website (hundredpushups .com) that will gear you towards 100 pushups in 6 weeks. i've never tried it but that would certainly build strength and wouldn't cost a dime.
