jessabridge4444's Journal, 21 March 2013

I gained 12.4 lbs in 12 days. If bingeing were a sport....I would have a gold medal. LOL Today: Making a new set of promises, got up and exercised this morning w/o E. I told him I was no longer waiting for him to get motivated. He complained. I said "then get up w me." He said "but I don't like to exercise in the morning, I rather do it after work." I said "You don't want to do it then either. & I can no longer wait for you" & I got up this morning w only 1 (1!) snooze. I asked him if he wanted to get up and he just kinda moaned. I took that as a no. LOL

I did about 40 minutes. :-) We are having a healthy meal tonight (stuffed peppers with ground turkey over a blend of jasmine and brown rice - YUM!) No more calzones, or fries, or candy!

Planning my meals again...back to the basics!

Have a great day all!

It is wicked yummy! http:??allrecipes.com? recipe? turkey-stuffed-peppers? detail.aspx (replace all the ? with / to make the link work & remove the spaces) I skip the onion and tomato because I can't have them & add in extra peppers bits for me! I use yellow peppers....soooo goood!

I am a after work person too. But it is tough with the dog. He has been alone all day, & I can not justify ignoring him for another hour. But after dinner I just want to chill & read and watch movies. Then BAM it is almost 9 or even 10 and it is time for bed. Where do the evenings fly!? I just think the morning is best, especially because the dog is so sleepy that he doesn't care if I/we get up. Why cant the man see that!!!!lol

Good for you for taking control of your health! If he can't get up and he won't do the exercise in the evening, then you have to do what works for you and let him find his own motivation. You can't make him do it, he'll figure out his motivation on his own someday. Your healthy meal sounds amazing!! I wish I could get my family to eat something like that.

My hubby does not like stuffed peppers w red sauce. Too soggy. This recipe is very non soggy. Plus, I do not blanch them for added crunch! Be careful, they are hot like lava when they come out of the oven. & the meat mixture is too die for!!!!

Great job coming back and making a fresh start. It's so easy to just want to give up when we have a set back. But your stick-to-it-iveness is what will keep a set back from turning into a downward spiral. Keep trying. Keep pushing yourself. You can do it!
