Ruhu's Journal, 16 January 2013

Oh the weather outside is frightful, but my FS dears, you're all so delightful, so since there's no there place I'd rather go, let it snow, let it snow, let it snow:)!

Yes, its snowing here in CT & I am the biggest wimp on the east coast when it comes to driving in it... but its a good day for me to be & work from home. So, bring it on!

Question of the day -- Has anyone ever used a health coach? My neighbor & friend is one after recently completing the program at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, & she is interested in my experiment and willing to help me with it. (Does that make me her lab rat!?!) She tells me, though, to properly test food sensitivities, I need to be off the food type for 3 weeks & then add them back individually for 3 days at a time. So, that's my story & I'm sticking to it -- I'm feeling so good & I'm now 10 days into it, that I'm gonna stay off dairy, sugar & we're adding wheat (but I already found wheat-free steel cut oatmeal:) for another week & a half, then add them back & see what comes up. And though keeping it up while traveling this weekend could be challenging, I'm even serene about that, thanks to the prayer below -- I figured out how to add it as my signature. So, I'll be praying, breathing, logging, posting & expressing on this one snowy, wintery day, meal, moment, bite, emotion at a time. xoxox

Such a cute opening! We got snow here yesterday - so my day started with the affirmation 'I'm so glad I live behind my biz'. I think a health coach is great. Keep us posted with your periodicals :-)

Ruth I do believe that I was off the carbs for 2 months and had those Thai noodles and they made me so ill. I think for me I will go with the signs that I get from being off the food...lol. That is also the only way to test for gluten intolerance or allergies or even celiacs...a lot of people that fall in these categories are not officially diagnosed with it because they cut it out themselves and to be diagnosed you have to go back on it. I can understand why because for me it is not worth the yuckiness...as I told my husband I will go by what my body is currently telling me and that is that it is happier and feels better off of these foods. Good luck on what you decide!

Good luck I hope it all works out well for you! I don't know about you but I am so ready for summer! But since it's not I guess I will just use the next 4 months to get my body even more fit so I look good when summer does hit!

Ugh .. summer... LOL. While I definitely want to get out of this snow and cold I hate that no matter how much I lose I won't be able to wear a sleeveless blouse in public. Ever. Wait... what were we talking about?
