Had a good day except for not exercising. Again my sticking point. I could give a hundred excuses why I don't but they are just excuses. I have the treadmill and I bought Jane Fonda's low impact work out video but I still put it off. Why? Lazy? Tired? Not ready? Aurghhhhh!!!

Hey, got your buddy request - thanks! It's hard not to beat ourselves up, isn't it? Last year I paid over $500 on a Pilates chair that I have used twice. Now it serves to hold my palette by my easel. aarrghh. What diet are you following? Calorie counting? Best of luck and let's make THIS the year we really do it and stick to it, and learn to be kind to ourselves!

Hi Elizabeth, yes this certainly is hard. I guess it has to be. I am going to Weight Management for Diabetics. It is through our health care system here in Canada. I was going there 2 years ago and lost 60 lbs but then foolishly thought I knew it all and gained 30 back. Now I realize this is a life time class and I will never get off this "diet". I have to realize this is my way of life. I am glad I have gone back and I have actually used my tread mill 2 days in a row. It must be in shock. I will be glad when it is warmer here so I can walk my dog instead.
Yes this is the beginning of the rest of our lives and we really will stick to it. I think being kind to ourselves is the hardest lesson to learn. Like with our kids, we have to be tough to be kind. Keep in touch. Joanne
