Personal Reflections: I decided to be pro-active and take a look at what things I have currently going on in my life that could affect me in a way that I would start up the emotional eating again (which is my typical pattern).

Things going on in my life that currently make me sad/anxious:

1) Fertility Issues (and all the shots I have to get along with that!!!)
2) Parents contemplating divorce
3) Good friend going through a lot of drama

Things that I’m happy with, but are indifferent about:

1) my job (its stable, and I am well respected, but I'm not challenged, so sometimes can be bored with what I'm doing)
2) Acupuncture (seems to be working, but I am deathly afraid of needles…so a little stressful!)
3) Therapy (I love my therapist - she was my reality check when I got divorced, and have seen her since on a monthly basis for a "check-up")
4) Joining Fatsecret (this should probably be in the smile when I wake up section, because after realizing how much I rely on this site with it being down yesterday….I was pretty sad at the thought it might have crashed forever!!)

Reasons why I smile when I wake up:

1) my husband (by far the best decision I ever made, and should probably list this 100 times over!)
2) my health/weight loss
3) my family (immediate and extended)
4) my friends
5) my cat (even though he's living with my parents now due to hubby being allergic)

Ya know, this is kind of cool. Even though I have some pretty major things going on right now, I still have been consistent with losing weight and staying strong and not being weak. Maybe I'm growing?? Dunno. But I do know that right now the good things that make me smile, outweigh the bad things in my life. Sweet! =)

AWESOME!! Way to go on finding all the good things in your life. It isn't always the easiest thing to do, and yet, it's usually the most important when we feel like we are bothered or struggling. I hit a "moment" yesterday after the docs, when I was still unable to stop the tears, and Maddi was "hungry" wanting cheetos and I hit bk and just "didn't care" enough to order the chicken sanny on sourdough, but did order the sourdough bacon burger! lol (Is that like 1/2 good???) LOL Not, but anyways... great for you and being able to reflect and count them blessings! :) Keep up the great work!

I love reading a positive, self-affirming journal! It's so good to see how you put it all in perspective and are seeing things in the "big picture". Yes, you are growing. Just because we stop going to school doesn't mean we ever stop learning. Now go give that wonderful hubby a hug :)

It's good to know that we can change our perspective with reflection and a little nudge from the angel of our better nature. Stay well!

Loved your journal and your positive attitude. It's nice to take a good look like that from time to time to count your blessings. You certainly are blessed in a lot of ways. Your chart looks wonderful!
