I turned the BIG 40 this year, and my husband and I just bought a new place out in the suburbs. Its an adjustment from living in the city, but we are loving it! It was our 2 year anniversary this year, and we are still trying to have children...and still having difficulties. Had a miscarriage back in march, and are gearing up to try again with the remaining embryos we have this November. (for those that aren't familiar with me, I found out that I'm in early pre-menopause/ovarian failure, so its less than a 1% chance that we'll be able to have kids on our own. We are on the journey of going to fertility clinics, acupuncture, whatever it takes, because we know we will have a family, just trying to figure out what way that will be).

I'm an emotional eater, so stress and boredom don't do me well. I've done the Weight Watchers Flex Points plan in the past, and its worked for me (I'm a lifetime WW member and had lost 65 pounds) and I know it will work for me again!

I love hearing about peoples progress...like with the Biggest Loser, because I love seeing people transform...and before and afters! =)

Here's to starting over…and no regrets for putting back on weight, just moving forward, looking at each day, one day at a time!

PICKING...a little here a little there
Oddly enough...Pickles. Try eating dill pickles. Here's an article I found to back it up from weightloss.about.com =)

"I tried it!": The Pickle Craving "Cure"

It was something I said, "Yeah, right!" to. Years ago my friend told me that a sure-fire way to beat a craving was to eat a pickle the moment it hit. I wasn't willing to try on that day. There was no way I was going to reach for a dill pickle when all I wanted was the biggest hot fudge sundae ever.
I inhaled the sundae while he munched a pickle. Years passed and the tip never crossed my mind...

Fast forward to this morning. I got a ravenous sugar craving and found I had some rice cereal-marshmallow squares on hand. Now, at 90 calories a square, it might not have ruined today's calorie count, but I had the distinct feeling that I would have eaten all 12 of them (It's been one of those days!) which definitely would have done my diet some damage.

So, instead I gave my pal's pickle trick a try (Say that three times fast!). I am pleased to report -- the pickle craving "cure" worked! My friend claimed it was eating something sour that does away with the sweet craving and he must have been on to something. Those squares lost all their appeal within seconds and here I sit over an hour later and I've not been tempted yet to go back to that box of treats.

So, the next time a pesky craving has you "in a pickle" give this tip a try!

OPRAH SHOW! Gone WILD with FATSECRET!!
Watched the news last night, and thought it was interesting that Oprah is talking about her weight gain again. Has anyone ever heard back from writing the show? I haven't.

Trip to Vegas
Greg and I would go too for the 14th =) His side of the family typically has a family reunion every year in AZ the week of President's Day....so we'll be out in that neck of the woods anyway and could swing through there on our way! =)
