Threw an 8-pound weight in my pack for my walk today. Wasn't too bad, but definitely slowed my pace a little. At my heaviest, I carried 70 more pounds. How?? I'm so grateful I'm not in that place now. I know I wasn't hiking or skiing or doing the other things I love so well.
Just got bloodwork done and realizing I really, really need to avoid animal protein, even just eggs and dairy. Every time I start eating more of it, my kidney numbers start heading in the wrong direction. Plant protein doesn't seem to have the same effect. Weird.
Time to start the strength workout. Pull day. It's been over a month since I started this, and I haven't missed a workout yet!💪

Another meal where I got too creative to track. Seitan, chickpeas, broccoli, red pepper, mushrooms and onion sauteed then simmered in jarred butter masala sauce. Served on quinoa. Veggies, protein, fiber - it works

Have been going through some things and haven't been tracking anything, really, although I have still been keeping up with my workouts. Life is looking up now. 😊 At the moment, not terribly concerned with losing and content to be just maintaining here 👍

After a couple of days camping, eating tons of trail mix and more tortilla chips than usual, I fully expected a bump up today, but the scale was down. We'll see what it does tomorrow and what my 7-day average looks like on my weight check-in day on FS.
Think I'm finally dialing in my pre- and post-workout eating for my strength training to not get excess calories, but still get enough protein and carbs. It's been 3 or 4 weeks since I started, and I still haven't missed a workout 👍
