Same rocks I've seen skiing many times. 2 hours mountain biking today. Not long after I took this pic, the sky opened up and the thunder started booming. We hunkered down until it passed. Both of us soaked to the skin. Still, a good day :)

At least it hasn't gone up. That's the best I can say for this week. Some personal strife threw me off the last couple of days. Finally found some advice that may be helpful for fixing my sleep habits. All the advice I kept finding was geared toward people who struggled to fall asleep. My problem is waking up too early. Having to face facts that the caffeine could be a component, so I'm now limiting it to before 8 a.m. Fingers crossed it'll help.

The latest concoction. I prioritize fermented foods, so this was yogurt whey, frozen blueberries, black grapes and...homemade sauerkraut. May sound strange, but it was refreshing

Bit of a rest day after a big ride yesterday, so it was a lovely day for a long walk at the park. 4.68 miles at a leisurely 21 minute pace. This little perennial walk in the pic has an optical illusion. The walk is tapered ever so slightly, so it looks longer from one direction than the other.
Perhaps it's over-ambitious, but trying to keep calories under 1700, get at least 75 grams protein and check all the boxes on Dr. Greger's Daily Dozen. Doesn't leave a lot of wiggle room, and I don't hit it every day. I don't worry about it too much when I don't -- even the attempt has improved my diet greatly. And my husband likes all the salads. 😉
I did discover a fantastic crockpot seitan recipe that I like better than the baked I was making. Helps keep the house cooler, as I can put the crockpot outside rather than turning on the oven. We don't have AC, so we try to minimize baking in the summer.

Yep, went for the plate of pasta as big as my head after mountain biking today. Topped with mushrooms, Tofurkey Italian sausage, and a fake "cheez" sauce made with cannelini beans. Couldn't finish it all, so my husband got some of the noodles
