Hi! I'm 37 years old, married and have a 8-year-old daughter and an 11-year-old stepson. Since remarrying over two years ago, I've slowly added back some weight. I recently tried to put on a skirt from last year...and yikes!!!!...it was hard to zip up. I've got to get serious or it will never happen. I've tried Weight Watchers and that's worked for me, but I thought I would try something different. I did Extreme Fat Smash diet in the summer and that worked for me, but after the summer, I stopped watching what I ate and working out.

Since then, boy have I gained!!! I just recently started the South Beach diet. My first goal is to break the 130 pound barrier!!! Then I hope to get to 125 by the end of April! My ultimate goal is to get to 120!

I love reading about those who start out around where I'm at and see that they are doing it or have done it because it certainly is a struggle for me!

Hi everyone!
I just came back to Fatsecret after a long time away of doing other things.
I just created a Challenge. It's about losing those last 10 pesky pounds OR for anyone who wants to track their first/next 10 pound loss as part of a challenge with others doing the same.

It will be lots of fun! It's a 10-week challenge.

Losing 10 pounds
Hello all!
I just created a Challenge for those who are looking to lose those last pesky 10 pounds or for those who just want to track their first/next 10 pound loss!

I've added a bunch of mini-challenges that are very doable!

It will be a fun, supportive group that also creates a challenge/competition environment! Hey, sometimes it's competition that gets us going or motivates us!

So, if you'd like to track your next 10 pounds, go to Community and look up Challenges.

It's under losing the last 10 pesky pounds...but it's for anyone!

The more the merrier!

If you've just finished a challenge or never have done one, now is your chance!

We start fresh on Monday, May 11.

Looking for a buddy
Hey there! I'll be your buddy! I started SB last week and am a total newbie to SB, although I did Atkins a LONG time ago.
I'm kind of where you are at...I'm 5'2" and started around 139 pounds. This is THE heaviest I've ever been...outside of pregnancy. I put on about 6 or so pounds over the holidays!!! I usually hover around 130-133 and thought the holiday pounds would just melt off once I started eating right again, but I was wrong. I'm at 137 after being on SB for a week!

Someone told me to watch my sodium intake, so I'm going to start doing that. We'll see. I've yet to really start working out again!

Let's keep each other motivated...especially since we have the same goal!!! 120 pounds!!!
