My name is Suzanne. I live in NW Illinois.

I am at my highest weight ever when I started Atkins on Aug, 1, 2013 (just 20 short days ago). I'm down to 214# so far, as I'm joining this site (8/20/13)

I am a recent widow (lost my husband in Jan. of this year to cancer), and have one grown daughter (age 20).

I recently decided that my biggest cheerleader has gone to Heaven (my beloved husband of 15 years) so it's time that *I* have to "take a big girl pill" and watch out for my own health.

best breakfast?
Sorry, I almost forgot to post.

According to FS fact sheets of ingredients, (not including butter) it's only 4.67 NET CARBS and 19.37 grams protein(and net carbs because I use 3 splenda packets for the way I prefer it).

Mind you, I couldn't photograph myself while holding the pan etc, I'm not that talented, lol. So am using these images of someone else doing it.

Ingredients:
3 whole eggs
2-3 packets of Splenda
1 teaspoon soy sauce
Butter for the pan


Step one:
Put eggs, sweetner, and soy sauce together in a small bowl.

Mix very well, by hand (as you would any scrambled eggs)

Heat your non-stick pan over medium to med. high heat, but butter in pan (careful not to burn it)

Here are the steps, with photos (sorry for the quality)

This is done in several layers- I usually make three layers worth in a smaller pan (I use like an 8" egg non-stick pan this shows a bigger pan, so more eggs would be required, but the ratio of ingredients remain about the same. Use your judgement after you taste this basic recipe to know if you like it more sweet or more salty from soy sauce)

Here's the best I can manage for photos, showing the process to get the nice thin layers.

Hi, my name is Suzanne (suzimoose). I'm 49 y/o, in Illinois and I have about 82 pounds to loose (have lost about 10# of that already since starting Atkins 21 days ago). Started 224, want to get to 142.

Especially interested in anyone else who might be going thru personal loss (death in the family) who might understand those kind of stresses that can go hand in hand with our weight loss journey.

Looking forward to someone (s) wanting to be my "diet buddy"

Before and After, anyone?
This is going to be my big-time inspiration post to come and visit. Just started doing atkins program 21 days ago, so my before/after wouldn't be noticeable to most so I will wait a bit to show some progress pix. Thanks for sharing folks- you are all doing AWESOME!!!
