I'm spending long days at a desk, married, in my late 30's and getting more and more out of shape fast. I love indie and pop music, going to concerts, museums and art galleries and cooking really healthy nice fresh food, especially exotic middle-eastern and asian recipes. I used to be fit, as a big fan of home DVD workouts and step aerobics, but don't have the roomspace or time for it these days. I want a new exercise routine without going to a gym. Exercise keeps me mentally alert and feeling sociable. Over the last few years I am pretty sure I developed a gluten intolerance and it made me more sluggish and sickly. I don't need a formal diagnosis and I think recent changes to my diet are having a positive effect on my energy levels and digestive system. I'd like to go on a hiking trip.

Need to correct starting weight in challenge
Hi. I entered the incorrect starting weight when I signed up to FS a week ago, and was planning to correct the historical weight entry in "my diet" once I bought some scales. I've done that, but the incorrect starting weight is still showing under my challenges. How do I fix it?

basic dumbell/strength training exercises for a beginner?
I have a massive collection of workout DVD's and would recommend these two for you - Tamilee Webb I Want Those Arms and I Want Those Abs. Oldies but goodies. Previews on youtube demonstrate a few of the exercises.

You can get them on her DVD 'I Want That Body', broken down into 15 minute sections - there's a preview at collagevideo and the DVD only $10. (could be a stocking filler, hmm)

Tamilee is very nicely paced for beginners, but no slouch. Get some slightly heavier handweights to work up to after a few weeks, if you want to see results.
