Just a simple gal trying to find balance in life and in health. I started my journey at the age of 34, 5' 7" - topping at 190 pounds and in a size 16 jeans which was a little tight. Currently I am down to 133.4 pounds and in a size 6 jeans. I am happier, healthier and find that my energy is limitless.

Watching what I eat and just being active at least 30 minutes per day has worked for me. Now it's time to maintain.

Confession Time...what's your secret?!?!?!?
My confession... I was motivated to lose the weight because of a guy. I know - superficial. But I had no idea how much weight I had gained in a 10 year relationship with the wrong guy (50+ pounds) and when he left me - I looked in the mirror and said to myself 'I have to do something.'

I took a trip down south and chance met a guy in one of the local book shops. He was fit, healthy and yet he smiled at me and we talked for a while. Now I am ready for him to see me again and tell me what he thinks!

How Often Do you weigh yourself?
I try to weigh in every day when I get up in the morning. Most people have told me not to do it at that time because you supposedly weigh the lightest. However - I experimented a few days and weighed in both in the morning and at night after dinner - and I weighed about the same, depending on what I ate through the day.

All in all - I weigh in each day just to make sure I am following my regimine.
