Do you weigh in every day or just once week?

Every day, first thing when I get up. I get used to normal day-to-day variations that way, and don't obsess over the details.

Just once a week for me. Weight loss is such a slow process, I would get discouraged if I weighed myself everyday.

Everyday. Either before or after I take a shower.

I think once a week is the best way to go. By only weighing once a week, it builds excitement and can be a really great reward to see a larger weight loss vs. just seeing daily fluctuations.

Every day. But I only record my losses in my weight tracker. I see the ups, and I know what caused them, every day gives me a better opportunity to not let them get out of hand.
Does anybody really think that they didn't get what they had because they didn't have the talent or the strength or the endurance or the commitment?

A lot of studies have shown that those that are able to maintain weight loss admit that they weigh every day, especially after they lost their weight, hence the maintenance. I used to be a once a week weigher. When I really starting losing weight I became an everyday weigher. Mainly because it was encouraging and a daily motivater (and reminded me what I was doing it all for) but also because I could adjust for any changes before too much damage could be done. It keeps me accountable. But to each their own. If one way works better for you, then that is your answer.

I weigh everyday, when I wake up - not sure why I chose that time (I work nights) because it's in the middle of the afternoon. It's fun and exciting to see the weight come off - and those times that I see it come back on, I can correct whatever behaviors caused the upswing. I didn't discover fatsecret until yesterday, so I'm doing some catching up (I was keeping my calorie count in a paper and pen journal), and the caloriecounter app is incredibly neat. I just wish that there were a function to 'add favorite food' so I don't have to keep going back and searching out the stuff I consume all the time.

I weigh myself twice per week. It's a good balance that's not too often but it still keeps me in check so I don't have any surprises.

I weigh every morning when I wake up. It keeps me honest. I always know I am on the right track. If I slip up, it doesn't get out of hand.

If you go to your page, and then too "Enter Food" >Under eg, Breakfast is say "+ ADD FOOD"
Then >where is says "Or Choose from My Recent Breakfast Items":
Under that Is says in bold blue lettering >
Add Multiple Items
...
This is where your favorites are..
Hope this helps..

I've always just weighed once a week unless I felt a change. After reading all of your posts ,and your reasoning, maybe I'll start weighing more often. I love all the exchange of ideas and information here! Thanks to all of you!

Right when I wake up (After I use the restroom) Usually midday & then once at night!! I love to see how my weight fluctuates!! This way I can think about the trends & make connections between what I've eaten & what the scale says!!

Every single day, even if I know it's going to be bad news. I've been on many diets over the years, lost and gained a lot of weight....since early March (just joined the site today) I've very slowly lost about 25 pounds. Of course I can't say it's entirely because I weighed myself everyday, but for me, at least, having that number in my head everyday is incentive to watch what I eat. If I skip it, it's too easy to fool myself into thinking I can overeat.

Once a week...I was weighing everyday but the ups and downs really discouraged me. I will not excercise Friday evening...will on Friday morning and then weigh in on Saturday morning.
