I heard about this site through my cousin and hoping to lose 25 lbs with my gym membership and learning how to eat properly. I have recently insured my leg by pulling my hamstrings and have also thrown off my back and was unable to walk for a few months. I am now ready to exercise, eat healthy, and hopefully get my weight down 25lbs. I have lost some muscle in my leg which I need to build. any help would be appreciated.

my first couple of weeks
well I am really enjoying this site. I enter my food everyday and have met a few buddies. It is also helping keep me motivated. I have done my stretches this week but I dont understand all this resting, sleeping stuff and how to record it rite. I am going to the gym Friday to meet the trainer and get my stress test done and my measurements and new workout. Cant wait!

thank you all for your replies. I am nervous about taking diet pills as a friend of mine died while on them. I know that fruit has carbs but I am not as big a fruit eater as I was as a kid. I have recently started eating clementines and grapefruit. I used to eat green apples and dip into peanut butter which I think I will start again as it made a nice treat. I know the foods like grains, beans and fruit but I have a hard time putting them into a meal or what to eat with them in order to keep myself full. This morning I had 2 eggs 2 pieces of white toast as I had no brown, and a cup of coffee. I need to eat more fibre as to get my good cholestrol (i think thats hdl)up as the doctor says its too low. I need to exercise as well, but know fruit in the morning alone will not keep me energized for my workout.

new to fatsecret
hi all, I am new to fat secret and hoping to make progress losing 25lbs by using this website to help. I also have a gym membership which I really need to go back to asap. I am a big carb eater and find it very hard to stay away from but hoping looking at the food nutrition on this site will help me pick better choices as I have always had trouble trying to find the right things to eat and keep full. I am looking forward to meeting some buddies and any offer of help would be appreciated Smile.
