Current Weight

Performance: losing 0.4 lb a week

Goal Weight
145.0 lb
Still to go: 10.1 lb
Began this journey on October 4, eating Primal and IF'ing - intermittent fasting a la www.leangains.com. I lift heavy 2-3 times a week, and try to do sprint intervals once every 7-10 days. I've lost a pretty consistent 2 pounds a week.

I used to be in kick-ass shape, but I also have a history of getting fat and then getting in shape. Hopefully this is the last time - I love eating this way, and I really think that IFing will work for me, long-term. I don't feel hungry, or like I'm missing something. I don't run around eating every 2 hours because I'm starving, or because someone told me I should.

My main goal is fat loss, but I want to be STRONG and healthy, too - for the long-term.

Help with "plateau" anyone ?
Eat Primal. Do intermittent fasting. Lift heavy weights 2x a week, 3 at most. Stop cardio. Walk 4-5 days a week. EFFORTLESS WEIGHT LOSS. Just saying. Wink

Xylitol & Diarrhea (TMI)
I don't use sugars at all, incl. honey. I'm trying to get my insulin sensitivity under control, hence the xylitol. I tried stevia but ... ew. It's fine in tea but I don't like it in coffee.

I do Intermittent Fasting, LeanGains style, which means I eat during an 8hr window every day (noon to 8pm). I drink black coffee in the mornings before my fasting window opens, and it's tolerable. Not as enjoyable as with cream and xylitol, but tolerable. Maybe I'll just switch to black - it would save me a ton of $$.

Xylitol & Diarrhea (TMI)
Since I don't eat sugar, I've been using xylitol as a sweetener. Does it give anyone else diarrhea, or is it just me? Or maybe it's from something else. We're talking, almost poop-my-pants diarrhea. Not fun when you're out walking the dog. ack.

I've been using it for a month now.
