I feel pretty good. I can easily run 3-5 miles. There is layer fat over my ads, but that's always been there. Why do I weight more than I did when I wasn't working out?

Google "why the scale lies" for understanding in to the scale and water weight. But you can actually weigh more than you used to but be a much smaller size than you used to at a lower weight. Muscle is more dense and much leaner than fat, so you can weigh more be but a smaller size.
