Well, I lost 1.5lbs of the 2lbs I gained after Saturday night, but still 0.5lbs up on last week. :(

I didn't do very well yesterday. We have a friend staying with us this weekend who's a bit of a champagne expert, so we had a champagne tasting session last night, starting at the rediculously early time of 7pm. Very interesting and enjoyable, but I ended up drinking almost an entire bottle of bubbly and then found myself incapable of cooking the healthy meal I'd planned!

Oh well, it's the start of another week, and our friend flies back home this evening, so no more alcohol for the rest of the week - give my liver and my fat cells a chance to recover!!
167.0 lb Lost so far: 43.0 lb.    Still to go: 27.0 lb.    Diet followed poorly.

See... said that extra yesterday would soon drop off and well, we've gotta have some fun once in a while! It sounds like you've had a great weekend and as I said yesterday, you've done so brilliantly that you really do deserve to have a little break. It will be all off again by next weigh-in and more!!! I know you're dedicated Leanne... so would place my bets on that one! Glad to hear that you've had a great weekend and hope you have a great week. Now no more alcohol... lol... I might have to join you otherwise and get out some booze. ;o)

Thank you both! I am sticking to it 100% so far this week (am even contemplating going to the gym today!) and the scales are looking very favourable so far. Am actually quite relieved we have no big plans for this coming weekend - that will give me a chance to fully recover!! Hope you're having a great week too! :)

Good to hear that you're back on track this week and that the scales are being nice to you so far. Aw, I know what you mean about it being a relief to not have any big parties or plans that somehow we've got to try and fit around our healthier eating plans. They can be such good fun... but play havoc with a perhaps otherwise excellent week. Have you seen the new challenge? I think a very similar thing happened to me with these bottles of wine I brought back from home this xmas. I drank nearly a whole bottle and it throttled my loss for a week! Anyway, you'll be fine and I think champagne is the best reason I've heard yet for a setback. Have a good week!

Alcohol is a killer for me. I love a good cocktail or glass of wine. However, I then feel like eating and my willpower, already not that great, is out the window. I'm trying not to drink for the foreseeable future to jump start the diet. You're doing great, keep up the good work. I wish I had your motivation to exercise, I haven't got there yet
