Round and round the silver ball goes, where she stops nobody knows! 239 today again.

I must say I am getting frustrated. Weight loss used to be easier! I know I am being a little more liberal in my eating habits lately, we have been out of chicken for a long time! lol Anyway, I think it may be because of my increase in activity levels, and perhaps some muscle. Who knows. I reckon I wont stress about it too much. Seems I have been at 239 for months!!

I have just booked wifes trip back to the states to see her mother. She was recently diagnosed with Cancer and her prognosis is not good. So we feel it is a good idea for wife to go for a bit of a visit now. There was a whole storm of drama back stateside between the sisters, but that seems to have died down, and the visit is back on. I am just here for support. I shall not go into it...

Yesterday we went to see Zach play baseball. I did not have a proper lunch 1st, and was rushed out of the house. So when I returned I was STARVING. So I ate bread, peanut butter, chicken, and anything I could find. It was not entirely bad. Dinner was some bruschetta I made after a quick visit to the market for tomatos, cheese, and bread. And an ice cream dessert that was hanging around. So all in all yesterday was not too bad.

You see our house is devoid of proper groceries. Healthy stuff like chicken is not here, and a lot of the vegetables we eat are also gone. Wifey did not shop like usual this week, and it is showing. So I am having this feeling of impending doom, lol. I suppose I should just get in the car and go shop.

Anyway, I have lots of stuff to do today.

Grateful for:
Wife (Even though she is not shopping properly)
Kids
Kitty
Computers
Water

Sometimes you just have to do the best with what you have...just keep up with the exercise & the diet can play catch up when things aren't so messed up... Best wishes for your wife & family...went through that one a couple of years ago...not a good time...just be there for her...no advice, no fixing...just there... Later.

We are all responsible for ourselves and shouldn't rely on others for weight loss. Support is great but ultimately what you put in your mouth is up to you. You need certain foods, go get them. If you know your not doing what you should so you can lose, than get your butt in gear and do it. You need to watch your caloric intake and exercise. Each time you do it, it's a new journey so don't compare it to the past. Stress can cause our cortisol levels to go up and make us want to eat more. Exercise can help with the stress. I lost both my father-in-law and sister to cancer within a few years of each other and it was very hard. But you need to take care of yourself. Good luck!

Throwing back the encouragement you gave me during my plateau crisis. You'll get there! I am only losing 1 pound per week for the last two months and I find it frustrating as hell. But, still I remain on the plan and am grateful that it isn't going the other way. Best wishes for your wife's family during this very stressful time! And you too of course.

I know how you feel about stalling. It sucks. It seems like we do what we always do, yet nothing happens. You're mentioning it yourself - maybe you're a tad too liberal? I have definitely been there! LOL! Maybe it's time to re-assess! You do Indulgence Days, right? Make sure you don't go so high on those days that they cancel out what you do on the other days. :) I hope you find your groove, my friend. Go seek it! :)
