madaboutmoose's Journal, 29 January 2012

Sunday morning and I woke up a little earlier than I would have liked. But by the time I let the dog outside to do his business and stoked up the fire I was awake and decided to stay up. It is quiet ... hubby and mom are still sleeping. I put some Vanilla Nut Cream coffee in the pot to percolate and I am seriously considering slipping my iPod onto my ears and spending a little time on my elliptical this morning.

My scale is still psychotic, giving me several different weights pretty much one right after another ... yet I did get this one twice ... 192.6!!! My theory yesterday worked so well I thought I would implement in again today. Even if the scale is broke ... eventually I will weight 192.6 so I'll take it!!! Why not???

Laundry and bills were taken care of yesterday. Today perhaps some paper organizing shall occur. I have piles of papers. They drive me crazy. Sometimes I save things I probably don't need to save. I have a pile related to Infant Mental Health, a pile related to the Association I belong to, a miscellaneous pile. Well, at least my piles have names.

Ooooh that coffee smells delicious!!! I can hardly wait for the first cup!!! Too bad you aren't here to join me!!

Anyway .... that's my story for today. Enjoy Sunday!!

Paper drives me crazy too, Carol. But I'm not the one who piles it up (if you know what I mean). At least you have organization on your side. Have a wonderful Sunday.

I'm tellin ya, take the 192.6! The scale does not lie...it may fluctuate, but it does not lie! BYW, I understand your feelings after hitting an elk. Just before Christmas I ran into a deer - actually a deer ran into me! I veered a bit to the left (I know you're not supposed to but I did) which resulted in most damage to my right fender instead of a head-on which most likely would have been worse. It was a night and not safe to pull over so I went back next morning to see that the deer did not survive, as I was hoping might be the case. It's the first, and I hope last time I experience something like that..felt absolutely terrible and helpless. Also, thinking about what could have happened that would have been so much worse is something that lingers. I found myself trying to hurry home before dark and driving slower and more cautiously than I usually do (which is relatively slow and cautious). Thankful your vehicle absorbed the damage and not you!

Well done! Sounds like your body is working for you. Perseverance is the key. I have stacks of paper everywhere-I sort and resort and nothing actually happens. Have to get it all sorted for tax time. Oh boy.

Dens ... wouldn't it be grand if we didn't have paper??? Oh my goodness, I just sorted through a big pile, put a few things in binders, and clipped other things together and actually BURNED some stuff!!! Still ... big piles. Dag nab it anyhow!!! Taxes. Oh I'll be glad when that is done.

One more thought, moose: You paid way too much for that scale not to listen to it! Anything that costs that much cannot be wrong! (I don't even know what it cost but I'm tellin ya, your fancy new scale ain't not broken!)

Don't ya just hate those scales although right now I kind of wish I had one so I could know where the heck I am. Papers...I understand that too I had so many papers to get rid of before I moved. I'm glad you had a nice weekend and will catch you later today.

Hi Carol, my home scale is the same, I have to stand on it 3 times before it stabilizes. Of course the 3rd time is always the lowest - lol. I am lucky to have access to a docs scale so I use that and always hope that it is the same or lower. Today it was lower! Hope you have a great Monday.
